Thought of the Day

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that the american government can track a cow born in Canada three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington (and track her calves to their stalls, and so on and so on)... but they can't find Osama bin Laden?

Maybe we should give him a Canadian cow. With BSE.

That's because, unlike a cow, Osama's on the run. Do you really think us Canadians would have had much more luck looking for him?

I rest my case.

So how does the footspeed of the average human compare with that of a cow? Over rough terrain?

(in other words, why would you run from a charging bull? hmmm?)

One might think that amongst the millions of cows in North America finding one in particular would be similiar to finding a needle in a haystack, yet somehow they have a whole bureaucracy set up to know where every cow is.

Yet Osama, who is one of the 5 most wanted men in the world, whom everyone recognizes his face (even pre-school kids) and an intelliegence agency like the FBI or CIA can't find him.

But then again, I don't think they are actually looking for him anymore, are they?

Mr bin Laden is a popular man, but I don't know if I'd call him "free" or "mobile" (especially given his kidney affliction).
