It's 55%.
Obviously the speech wasn't good enough. But then, a vote like this shouldn't be based on a speech - it should be based on things like winning a majority government with a four year mandate or bringing down a great budget or having a 70% approval rating with Albertans. What will these Albertans think of us now?
This saddens me greatly, and to be honest I don't know what these people were thinking. I predict every single one of them will regret voting yes at some point of time in the next few months.

WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The King is dead. Here we go...
my god...
If this is true, it's over alright. Whoa! I have to admit, I'm stunned. I just hope this doesn't mean a Jim Dinning coronation.

Wow... I'm stunned. Waiting for the analysis and aftermath to start. When will the leadership change hands & what does it mean for the next election? Could we be going in fall of '07? Hmmm.
Unforgivable. Albertans will think the party is full of opportunistic pretenders like Lyle Oberg.
This isnt an April Fool's joke is it? Why can't I find a single media story to verify this?
Never mind:

This is the real deal. Considering the "predator" analogy has been brought up, I would argue that Klein being turfed is merely political natural selection.
The party needs renewal - Ralph simply couldn't bring that.
Whoops - my apologies. I misread "pretenders" for "predators"
I suspect all his attempts to sabotage Harper are also coming back to haunt him.
That had to have pissed off a lot of Alberta Tories.
This means a whole new ballgame come election time. The other two parties have leaders that have gained some solid face & name recognition with the general voting public.
Despite the immense coverage it will get, the leadership campaign may not establish a new Tory leader as the automatic "name that's known" come election time.
Well I guess the Tory majority might be cut down a bit, but I think it will probably be a very cold day in hell before a Liberal will ever be Premier of Alberta again.
No regrets here.
Ralph was not simply the premier of Alberta, he was also a very popular mayor of Calgary. Myself, I wouldn't have voted for Ralph in my riding of Calgary Elbow. However, to take off his head like this is extremely distateful and I would hope Calgarians wouldn't take this from the PC party. I wouldn't hold out hopes for a rush to the Liberals though.
I will agree that, no matter what you think, it should not have hapened in this way.
" I will agree that, no matter what you think, it should not have hapened in this way."
I agree. It should have happened in an election. This is unfair.
