Frog and snake are likely candidates because I know of a place I can get them, but I'd also be interested in the COD suggestion or the porcupine/groundhog (except it sounds like I'd have to butcher the ground hog myself... LOL).

Also just realized I've never had quail or quail eggs

I was a vegetarian for 2 years and my MIL is Vietnamese so I have eaten most fruits and veggies I can. I LOE edameme, will eat it for protein in place of meat a lot of times. Groundhog is good as long as you are careful to get rid of the oil glands in the legs without getting any on the meat.
Porcupine tastes like a pine tree if it isn't cooked right. Boil the meat three times, changing the water completely each time, and then fry or roast it and it becomes palatable.Grumpy Old Mannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5072553.post-62236411587755064562010-08-14T19:25:06.519-06:002010-08-14T19:25:06.519-06:005 new foods?

Like a big clam that they like to eat raw like an oyster or you can buy the really big ones already cooked in a jar. Similar to oyster but not as sweet and a little more rubbery.
